aavm detected a rpc error

Hello everyone. I don’t know why, but for some reason I can’t get the resident protector to work on my W2k Pro.
I receive the following error message: “The AAVM subsystem encountered an RPC error!”
I tried to stop the service and start it manually, but it still doesn’t work.
Any ideas?

Have you tried using the Repair function (Control Panel> Add or Remove Programs> avast> Change> select options tr “Restore” when the window appears)?

If that doesn’t work, remove / boot / install / boot …?

Have you changed the shutdown properties in Windows 2k?

Both avast! Services should start automatically when Windows starts …

What does it mean to change shutdown properties in Windows 2k?

Oh! While reading this post a few minutes ago, I encountered the same error!

: o

Monitor turned black except for an error message in a separate and narrow black bar at the top of the screen … Pressing Ctrl Alt Del at the same time did nothing … as did the Esc key. So I used the reset button to restart my computer. > :(” src = “https://forum.avast.com/Smileys/default/angry.gif”> </p>
<p> On reset, I certainly went through the scan function. But the computer became normal after that. Now everything seems to be working fine. <Img alt =

I don’t know why this happened and I have not had a chance to get a screenshot of the error message. :(

I tried the “fix” function, but it didn’t work, so I deleted / boot / instaled / boot, but immediately after starting Windows on avast! a red circle appeared! The balloon icon in the notification area, and when I click on it, the error message “The AAVM subsystem encountered an RPC error” appears just like before. I enter the incense code, but the error persists. I check that avast 2 services and services start automatically, as does remote procedure call (RPC).
I don’t understand what you mean when you say “Change shutdown properties in Windows 2k”.

Sorry, the theme does not match shutdown issues. Maybe I meant “service” properties. I’m sorry.

Normally the / boot / install / boot uninstall process fixes RPC errors.

Is there another anti-virus application on your system?

Have you installed any (also in the past)?

On my system, only Avast. I tried to install older versions and latest version as it fixed the RPC error.
During the uninstallation process, I tried to delete all the registry entries associated with avast or alwil, but it didn’t work for me:
LEGACY_AAVMKER4
LEGACY_ASWMON
LEGACY_ASWUPDSV
LEGACY_AVAST! _ANTI-VIRUS

Can someone help me ??? I’m going crazy here. I’m starting to think it’s worth trying a different antivirus: ‘(

As a general rule, you should not remove LATE keys from the Windows registry.

The problem is related to access rights (HERITAGE is already loaded).

I used to have to do this and use Registrar Lite (http://www.resplendence.com/docs/). The app has a function that allows you to control the correct access (support) HERITAGE.

But trust me. This happens (AAVM / RPC error) when a “second” antivirus application is installed on your system. Or you incorrectly uninstalled it before installing Avast.

Can you comment on this?

you don’t

I think you need to remove the LEGACY

keys if you uninstall the previous antivirus application.

Is the Avast Antivirus service running? (Control Panel -> Administrative Tools -> Services). If not, then you can tryb run manually? It starts? If not, what error messages do you receive?

Thank you

If at first you fail, skydiving is not for you.

Because some of them start automatically … I tried to start them manually, just in case. I did a fresh install of w2k on this computer a few days ago, so I’m pretty sure there was no other antivirus on it. I installed avast some ti
