If your computer displays an error code for the wrong file number, here are some troubleshooting tips.
This error usually means that you cannot connect to the server. This is often caused by firewalls and proxy servers.
When you run remote Git or SSH commands, your connection may expire:
$ ssh -vT [email protected]> OpenSSH_8.1p1, LibreSSL 2.7.3> debug1: Connect to port 22 of github.com [126.96.36.199].> debug1: connect to 188.8.131.52. Port 22: connection timed out> ssh: connecting to port 22 of host github.com: connection timed out> ssh: connect to port 22 of host github.com: invalid file number
TWSUser cannot write file
Current Solution: Ignore “invalid File Number” And Get More Information
Focus on lines added with
-v on the command line. In my case it was:
debug1: connecting to an address (host or IP address) Port 22: trying to timeout a connectionless connection
My problem was a typo in the IP address, but yours might be different.
