ok .. I spent the morning going through the various answers for installing Office Professional 2007. I uninstalled the old / trials and relaunched as instructed. However, I get a message that the bootloader has stopped working. my installation CD. Can anyone tell me how to get around this in plain English? I don’t have Office version on my laptop at the moment, and I need it ASAP. Why can’t these items be easily installed? I tried Contact Microsoft directly for help. But I need to install the program to get the product ID which I can’t get because the bootloader stopped working … PLEASE … somebody help … this is so frustrating.

If you copy the CD to your hard drive and run the installation as administrator (right click and select Run as administrator), does that help?

Try installing “Microsoft Office 2007” in clean boot mode. Click the Microsoft link below to learn more about clean boot:

Important! In Clean Boot mode, all third-party applications (including security software) are disabled. Starting your computer without security software could put it at risk.

Note. After fixing the clean boot issue, remember to restart your computer to boot normally:

If that doesn’t work, follow the instructions on the Microsoft link below to uninstall and then reinstall Office:

Note. Before uninstalling Microsoft Office 2007, make sure you have your Office hard drive and product key to reinstall it.
