The dreaded B200 error on your Canon printer usually indicates the print head is dead! Before you throw your printer in the trash bin or buy a new one, try some of the suggestions below. Turn off the printer and unplug it for at least 2 hours. This can sometimes work.

 

 

The dreaded B200 error on your Canon printer usually means the print head is dead! Before you throw out your printer or buy a new one, try some of the suggestions below.
1. Remove all ink cartridges and install new ones.
2. Remove the printhead and thoroughly clean all gold-plated contacts on the printhead itself. When reinstalling the printhead, make sure the ribbon cable connector is securely attached to the printhead itself (this is usually the case with older models).
3. After removing the print head, clean it thoroughly by draining all ink under a hot tap. This video may help you: cleaning the print head
4. Then try restarting the printer drivers, as error code B200 in some cases can be caused by a corrupted driver.
