I’m using another trial version of CS5 Premiero Pro and one uploaded a clip in video format to my husband and computer using Sony PMB. I import it into my get project, with”There was a mix-up while unpacking the audio or video”.
How do I deal with this?

You can try converting from video using MPEGStreamclip, it might help.
The best premiere format is for uncompressed AVI or DV.

Oh, that’s great. To do this, you need to enable the codeAnd MPEG, but it’s in the paid version.
This doesn’t really mean you don’t have problems with yourself, MPEG files always started out as the least compatible in Premiere Elements. I can’t say though I chose. I can also try one of these if you like it and let me know if it works or not.

Premiere Elements had the biggest problems with some MPEG files. I didn’t do anything wrong with MPEG files in Premiere Pro either. But if the typical known issues get in the way, MpegStreamclip does a great job of converting them to DV-AVI.
