BT Internet mail servers only allow messages to be sent from “approved” emails. If you try to send messages from other addresses, the email from the BT server may return a “550 unauthorized” or “553” error, or it may ignore the message without notice, depending on what your server wants to do today.

We do not have any required information to help, but at this point it may be helpful to disable BATV support in VPOP3 (version 5 or higher). BATV Dramatically Changes The Local Dot Of The Email Addressthe sender’s throne mail so that legitimate bounce messages can be detected.
