- Make sure the AC adapter is properly connected to the computer before updating the BIOS.
- Disable any third-party devices connected to the computer before updating the BIOS.
- Remove any CD / DVD from the optical drive before updating BIOS.
- It is not necessary to turn off the computer while updating the BIOS.
- Do not rebuild your computer while the BIOS is updating.
- Make sure the battery has more than 10% charge than when updating the BIOS.
Note. Plug your favorite computer into a working power outlet before updating the BIOS. Ifthere was a power failure or a large drop / spike in power while flashing the BIOS, your company will need to replace the BIOS chip or the motherboard in general.

Customer reports published on social media operating systems, including the official Dell Community Network [1, 2] and Reddit [1, 2], warn against the latest BIOS (version 1.14.3 for Latitude notebooks, 2.8.0 in this order) for Inspiron and 1.0.18 for Aurora R8) cause startup problems.
Although heavily affected systems start up, users say the indicators and peripheral screens do not change direction. On startup, they immediately land on a black screen, which turns off and then turns off again.
