Over the past few weeks, several readers have informed us that they have encountered disabled ads in Windows Live Messenger 2011.

12. When the Run Command Prompt window opens, run the following command: ipconfig / flushdns

Advertising, or just advertising, is the main source of income for many online applications or web service providers, and the popular Windows Live Messenger instant messaging client is an exception. Windows Live Messenger 2011 is no exception due to the ad in the footer at the bottom of the main Messenger window (contact list) and thick message boxes.

If you find the ads in Windows Live Messenger 2011 intrusive, you can use the following tactics and hack to get rid of the ads in Windows Live Messenger 2011 and remove them.
How to disable or remove ads in the Live Windows Messenger 2011 chat window
- In the main Live Windows Mess windowenger, click the display name and select Advanced Options. You can also press the Alt key to display the menu bar and even click Tools -> Options.
