The DPX value seems to work well. But this process means you’ll run into some serious improvement issues in Premiere:
When people try to import a DPX sequence, they notice that the “Image Sequence” is grayed out and the checkboxes are automatically checked assume that the sequence import is not working. P.S. Trent Happel, since you may be on the Adobe team, could you get this idea across to your colleague as soon as possible? My only fear is that if I immediately post this to uservoice.com, this request will get lost among hundreds or thousands of other requests and no one will upvote it (or it may not get enough votes). But this genre is still a real problem that needs to be solved.
I sent the change to a colorist who converted my work to DaVinci Resolve and also exported it as a DPX sequence.
Now I need to import this into Premiere to cut out a bunch of frames that will be streamed so you can use the VFX.
Thought it would be handy, just click on the first DPX statement in the sequence, check all the Image Sequence checkboxes and hit Import. However, only the FIRST document will be imported, whether the field supports it or not. So thatlooks like I need to import each of them, and in order there are usually around 2000 of them!
