1. In SQL Server Management Studio, open Object Explorer and expand the folders likelogical to the server instance on which the new connection is to be created.
2. Right-click “Security” (usually a folder), select “New”, in this case click “Connect”.
3. On the General page, enter a name for the new connection in the Connection name field.
4. Select SQL Server Authentication.
