There will be four different versions of the K-Lite Codec Pack. From just about any very small kit that probably contains the most important set-top boxes, to larger and more complete kits. General differences between options can sometimes be found below. Various detailed versions can be found on all comparison and comparative information pages.
These codecs are compatible with Windows Vista / 7/8 / 8.1 / 10 packages. Older versions also work with XP.
Complements both 32-bit and 64-bit codecs, so they work great on x86 and x64 versions of Windows!

Tool for writing and testing DirectShow graphs …
- Relatively few ACM / VFW codecs such as x264VFW and Lagarith. This type of codecs is used by some editing / coding applications for learningvideos to work with AVI file types. For example VirtualDub.
These are codecs that are not used or required to play video clips.
Important Note: The K-Lite Codec Pack does not extend the navigation capabilities of professional video editors such as Vegas Movie Studio or Adobe Premiere. These applications often only support importing a small number of directory formats and do not support the type of codecs actually included in the codec (DirectShow / VFW). Modern publishers often use only their own internal codecs, or only customer support outside of codecs such as Media Foundation.

Provides a filtering system to control decoded audio over the network and.
- ffdshow audio / video decoder
Many other options for LAV audio / video decoders.
- AC3Filter, a great alternative for LAV audio decoders.
Important note: the additional filters mentioned above are not installed normally. We also recommend against using these deprecated Filters. They are only intended for a small group of people who have a reason to use them. We strongly recommend that you use the standard decoders from each of our packages. It is better.
Important Note: All of Mega’s advanced features are only useful to a minimal group of people. It does not provide the ability to play any other audio or video format. If a person is only interested in reading, the full version is already enough to reach you.
