This article will help you if you cannot find the Lotus Notes 6.5 contextual toolbar.
Troubleshooting Steps
=================
1. Close Lotus Notes and end all related processes if you want to use Lotus through the task manager [or use the Killnotes application]
2. Find a file named bookmark.nsf. It will be found in one of these folders:
– C: lotus notes data
– Files Lotus Notes Data
-c: Program C: Program Files IBM Lotus Notes Data
Rename bookmark.nsf to bookmark.old. Make sure you haven’t renamed the bookmark.ntf file to cause the error
3. Start Lotus Notes. It reproduces bookmark.nsf using the internet file (bookmark.ntf).
Have you ever run into a situation where you are trying to troubleshoot problems with your Lotus Notes mail application and come across an error message that looks exactly like the one resolved below?
Well, I ran into a sympathetic error message while working through the Lotus Notes mail client. This error message meant that I was not able to access someone’s important data in my Lotus Notes mail client. I was unable to access the actual data contained in the Lotus Notes client email. Situationwas terrible because the error message appears every time I work with the Lotus Notes application. I was very upset to see this behavior. But I managed not to lose hope. I have tried, if you want to find out the reason and the choice, to overcome such criticism. So I started surfing the internet and was able to find a solution to this problem.
While researching, I realized that the above error message is missing a predefined popup plugin in the structure of the nearest toolbar bookmark.nsf that is used to store data. This detects the damaged storage system tab.
To solve this problem, I manually redesigned your current local bookmark.nsf file, which improves the outline of the toolbar. To do the same, I selected my bookmark in the Notes function. Then choose File Database> Replace Design. In the dialog box that came up titled “Change Theme” I checked the “Show advanced templates” checkbox and the window above displayed your current bookmark template. Had to chooseand who selected the “Replace” button. I will come across the fact that these types of error variants can occur or also when
Bookmark.nsf contains a custom sun and wind design that has been tagged to avoid radicals or surrogates. To fix this, I need to close the Notes client and edit the Notes.ini document. Place the entry “BookmarkDesignReplaced = 0” and completely reset 0 for its value to 1.
However, I had no problem. But I have not lost my need. I knew then that database corruption could be the cause. So, in order to deal with the corruption of the Lotus Notes database, I searched the internet for a solution. I was fortunate enough to find a whole new large number of third party Lotus Notes recovery tools.

Here’s how to fix the problem: “The toolbar is not configured. Context bar no tools found. The design of the bookmark suggests an “update error message”.
I got an explicit error in my Notes 6.5.4 client as soon as I started playing Lotus Notes 8 (very hot by the way) on another computer.

I found this answer thanks to Google and thought I’d share it …
Solution 1.
Clear the .NDK cache and make sure everyone has the latest version of the bookmark template. Replace the design according to your bookmark database, THEN go to the toolbar settings and click on a specific button – click on the “Restore all settings to default” button on the General tab, you will obviously lose your old bookmarks.
Solution 2.
Delete the cache.NDK file. Rename the current bookmark.nsf file to bookmark.old and the Lotus Notes system. A new bookmark has been published. Obviously nsf, you lose old bookmarks.
Note that you will be placing your “bookmarks” in the page area, but your “work area” should remain in the same place with everything related to links to your database.
