How Can I Disable The Windows Key Even While Playing?
1. Change Your Registry
- Press Windows key + R, type and send regedit.
- Click OK and press Enter.
- Optional: Before making any changes to your PC’s registry, it’s always a good idea to take a backup while you’re on the go. To do this, select File > Export.

- After that, close the Registry Editor and restart your computer completely.

The request form allows you to assign specific commands to your keys, but you can also use it to disable secrets. AutoHotkey isn’t the easiest app, so you’ll need to learn how it works before your entire family can use it properly.
Essentially, what you need to do is create a script that could very well block Windows keys, and add that script to AutoHotkey. Just click the AutoHotkey icon on the taskbar and use Edit Script this. Now you need to paste the following script below:
~LWin Up :: Back~RWin Up::Cancel Save the script, right-click AutoHotkey and select the reload script option from the menu. After completing both steps, the Windows keys will be disabled.
Remember that this solution will not remove shortcuts that include Key, Windows as an alternative, it will only disable the initial steps – first by itself.
It should be noted that some online games may identify AutoHotkey as a cheating app, so be aware of that.

4. Using SharpKeys
- Download and run SharpKeys.
- After launching the application, click the Add button.
- You will now see two additional columns. In the left pane, click Key Type. and press all Windows keys.
- Now click OK and select the key you pressed.
- Select Disable Key in the right pane and click OK to save changes.
- Now click the Write to Registry button.
- Now the main thing you need to do is restart your computer, log out and log back in for the changes to take effect.
