I’m not sure if editing the registry is really something I’m going to do as copying files was working fine on a PDA until late yesterday and I doubt “a practical change was made to the PC to cause this problem , so I can’t guarantee that changing the registry will fix the problem.
Anyway, I wanted to compare the values I needed in raystre with what is often shown on the msdn page mentioned above. The “USB Function RNDIS Client Driver Registry Settings” section on your current page refers to several values stored as part of the registry under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINEDrivers
However, when I run “Start” > “Run” > “regedit” on my Windows CE PDA, it doesn’t know what RegEdit is.
Windows CE doesn’t come with a great registry editor (as you’ve already figured out). You can download it, use the registry API, or (if you can get ActiveSync to work) use the remote PC’s registry editor. The registry structure on my WinCE device only vaguely resembles that of your PC.
I also checked my machine for such a branch, but I don’t have a Drivers folder under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE; all I have:

So, how do I read the registry settings on the Gadgets device? I thought my apps might be too old (dated to the exact record), but the above page is really for Windows CE 5.0, so it’s not.

I’ve downloaded the “Remote Registry Editor” that PaulH states below. However, it’s recommended here to improve the registry setting to revert RNDIS to Serial_Class, even though it’s already destined for Serial_Class:
Does this mean I’ll try changing it to RNDIS and see what happens?will it come out or am I lost?
