I thought the “Show Recent Extra Apps” setting would turn it off, but it doesn’t. Maybe only for Metro apps?
Anyway, is there a way to disable the highlighting of new software in the Windows 10 start menu? Registry hack or what? I’m running Windows 10 x64 build 1511 which is usually the latest version as of Feb 14, 2016.
