    Thanks for posting the resolution. More like a blade, because it cannot be installed by default. But I think it makes them believe that you are not installing a competitor’s product that suits you.

    My configuration is Win XP 32, motherboard: ASUS P5QL PRO, video card: ASUS EN9800GTX +, gf processor: Intel Core 2 Duo E7300 2.66 GHZ, RAM: GEIL DDR2 2x1Go 1066MHZ

    This is believed to be the only way to avoid the Code 2 error, and it works in many cases. Are you getting the same Game Launcher file or an error, a few different messages? Can you get started and play the game this time?

    You can also try this plan, which I suggest, if you have connectivity issues.

    Try deleting all Windows HOST filesS.txt from a file at this location, such as C: Windows System32 drivers etc. Delete this file, but BACKUP to several other locations first. Then you will need to PLAY the game again. May

    You are actually editing this ‘hosts’ file by removing any lines of text, if any, under these lines:

    127.0.0.1 localhost
    :: 1 localhost

    This connection is for reference only, in case you have a corrupted DNS file. You can reset them to their default settings as described here:

    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/972034

    The game crashes without any error messages and you see a BLACK screen for a few seconds, but does the game also kill you a bit from the desktop? Sometimes you may also see a black screen with the message “Input or mode not supported” or “Frequency output related to range” …

    Or are you having problems launching the game? If you click on the big “PLAY!” Button, your current game window says that the game is running, but then he can make sure that the “saves are syncing” and after that everything will be closed?

    * If you have successfully encountered anyWhatever the case above, you can first try to manually edit the entire game config file, which is ConvictionUserPC.ini, with headers / important lines like:

    [UserVideoOptions.Your_USER.ACCOUNT_Name]
    Visual quality = 2
    StartupFullscreen = True
    FullscreenViewportX =
    FullscreenViewportY =
    MaxRefreshRate = 60
    WindowedViewportX =
    WindowedViewportY =
    UseVSync = False
    UseHDR = True
    MonitorAspect = -1.000000 …… Enter

    . aNow you usually save the correct / current values 鈥嬧媐or the screen resolution mode of your desktop in the “FullscreenViewportX / Y =” lines and save that file. The general configuration file is located here: C: ProgramData Ubisoft Conviction ConvictionUserPC .ini.

    Check what values 鈥嬧媋re usually entered here in the “FullscreenViewportX / Y” selection parameters.

    These folders can be hidden from Windows, so write them down. Start by patching the game to get the latest version and then enter these values.

    For XP, test Windows by locating the above file, for example “ConvictionUserPC.ini” in the following path, for example C: Documents and Settings All or User Owner Application Data Ubisoft Conviction.

    Yes, I havestill the same error, no other tutorial, this is the only error and obviously you cannot play the game. Archiving HOSTS.txt doesn’t work either. I don’t believe this is a hardware issue as both the video games and the new version (I bought each of our games shortly after the first one, so I used the old limited launcher) the launchers worked fine. Problems arose after formatting the game.

    Splinter Cell is no doubt about to return. According to the Video Games Chronicle, Ubisoft has given the green light to a larger sequel.
