Part II. Create a system restore point

Note. We strongly recommend that you run public parts 3 through 5 ONLY after creating a system restore point as described in this section. Making sure the built-in Windows System Restore Viewer is enabled and regular checkpoints are generated can be very helpful when it comes to recovering to an earlier point in time. If you can’t or don’t want to create a workaround, skip to the next article.

• Select Start> All Programs> Accessories> System> System Restore Tools> Create a restore point.

Windows Vista 7:

Part 3. Run the Webroot CleanWDF.exe utility

After creating the correct system restore point, download and save the CleanWDF webroot.exe uninstall / cleanup to mark your desktop. Click on the following link or copy and paste it into the address bar of your internet browser:

Note. Running CleanWDF.exe can be useful for those who have already configured or run Webroot Internet Security Essentials / Complete. It can also benefit many people who usually own or still use the old Webroot Desktop Firewall software. Usually this program should be uninstalled as it no longer supports a password.
