A Chinese spy attack has hit nearly 30 US companies, including Amazon and Apple, overloading the US technology supply chain so that they can conduct detailed negotiations with the government and shared sources.

Amazon.com Inc. quietly began reviewing a startup that was Elemental Technologies committed to acquire to help significantly expand its video streaming business, now known as Prime Amazon Video. Elemental, based in Portland, Oregon, demonstrated software for compressing large computer video data and formatting various accessories. His technologistI made it possible to broadcast all the Olympic Games online, communicate with the relevant International Space Station and use drone images for the Central Agency. Elemental’s homeland security contracts were not the primary reason for the proposed purchase, but they integrate well with Amazon’s government operations, such as the highly secure cloud that Amazon Services World (AWS) built for the CIA.
To help with due diligence, AWS, which typically oversaw a potential acquisition, has selected a third party to secure Elemental, according to someone familiar with the process. With the first worrying issues identified, AWS is looking to take a closer look at its flagship product, Elemental, as the expensive client servers on their networks can handle video compression. These companies were combined to form Elemental,
Super Micro Computer Inc., a San Jose-based company (better known as Supermicro), which is also one of the world’s largest vendors. Server motherboards, cluster mifiber-optic cross-circuits and therefore capacitors that act as nerves in large and small data centers. In late spring 2015, Elemental employees packed several servers and shipped them to Ontario, Canada for a third security company to run a quiz, one person said.
