I don’t have Woodboss 028, which I’ve been using with care for about 10 years. Over the course of the year, I tried several times to get it to work, to no avail. It didn’t work here at all at first, so I rebuilt the carburetor and tweaked it a bit and it started working fine, but shortly after that it stalled out (when I pressed the switch it kept moving until I turned it on for a while). Thinking it was an electrical issue, I changed the cord as it looked a bit worn, now it doesn’t seem to start at all. It flips over and acts like it wants to move, and if I add some starter liquid to some carbs it works great, but I’m not sure if that idea means anything. I have seen additional parts that I mostly use, but unfortunately I like the 028, I am really open to suggestions, thanks for your help.

I need to fix one. It already has a bad ground wire that helps the on/off switch. The saw uses the first electric ignition type SEM. The spool is forged thread and not interchangeable as far as I know. Does not use a ledge as in later versions.
