When trying to access Display Properties from Control Panel or most desktops, you may receive the following error message:
If you see our entry, changing your registry settings may help resolve this issue.
- Click the Start button, select Run and type regedit in the Open box. Click on OK.
The editor registration window will appear.
- Click the plus sign (+) next to each of the following keys to authorize:

In the right pane, double-click to transform the data value to change the composition of the display properties. A data value of 1 (one) activates the setting. A best data value of 0 (zero) disables this option.

Navigate to User Configuration> Administrative Template> Control Panel> Display. Then double-click Disable Display Control Panel in the right pane and change the hotfix to Not Configured. If you support this option, the display control panel will not work.
