The driver was removed from the website while trying to fix the problem. Many Chinese holidays got in the way of developing a solution, but it looks like it’s starting again.

Thanks for XP, “automatic restart on failure” is mostly hidden where users can’t find it, they never see the error. The crash they get is almost certainly “BAD_POOL_HEADER” as well as the 32-bit absolute hex value at the bottom of the screen which I don’t remember (and don’t want to recreate often), a problem that needs to be found again). It looks like it’s not just the VIA driver. SP2 xp introduced minimal incompatibilities that rarely occur, but the VIA IDE driver exacerbated some of the problems and brought with it the “BAD_POOL_HEADER” BSOD. While this thread reports that burning sensation support fixes the issue, removing gen_ml.dll from the plugins Winamp folder (making the media library null) fixes the issue in the forums. Can my staff confirm that the removal of gen_ml.dll was successful.

You are one of the lucky ones, myself included, who just had a problem with Winamp on new machines. Other issues that have reduced it: Hard drive LED is constantly on, endless reboot loop, endless XP boot time, black screen after preventing XP from booting, desktop image but no functionality, and good more. By the way, you disproved my theory: all additional issues with additional issues reported were related to AMD machines, but you report that your workit’s okay.
