Hi … I’m happy to fix a stop error for my friend. She and she live in different cities, but this Wednesday she brings me a computer, so I wanted to discuss my procedure with you before she comes here. I see I don’t have all the information, but I was hoping that someone could still point out the problems to you.

I’m not sure exactly what it did, but the following error appears:
Shutdown: C000026C Failed to load device driver
system root system32 drivers portcls. sys

it won’t start at all – not really in safe mode, last config fixed, … nothing … just BSOD.

Ok … I have errors that usually show up on the MS website and get this section. their system configuration is pretty close to the following best ones (as far as I remember):

Iwill KK266
AMD 1.4 Ghz
1 GB PC133, good old RAM (I think it’s critical)
And CDR and CD-ROM can be SCSI, run from Adaptec 19160
Zip (IDE) SCSI card, floppy disk and 2 IDE hard drives (C has operating system and programs, D – data), possibly maxtor
Windows 2000 SP2

So I do the following More:
1. Create Windows 4 2000 bootable discs
2. Load your SCIS programs on a floppy disk
3. Load the first Win2k floppy disk often and start having fun without any jazz.
4. In due time press and f6 to load the SCSI drivers
5. Continue with the rest of the Win2000 drives
6. When I get to the point where these three options are available, I choose “Restore current Windows 2000 installation “(Other options:” Install a real new version of Windows 2000 “and something else) 7. Sit down and wait for your current version of Win2k to update
8. Pray.
9. This is how it should be.

ok … what will I do. I’m not going to use a Win2k bootable CD because internet marketers don’t know if they have a full bootable CD (with all that special scsi shit on their system) . and / or MS minor threads on the “rescue disk” … but it was that win2k “restores the current version of Windows 2000”, right? This is what I did before, thanks to most of my stop errors.

So … what am I planning to do to make this work. I understand that I might be missing some informationmation, but it’s still important. I was hoping that more persistent people (you guys) would be able to point out potential problems on the internet … thanks for helping me with this … mirael duivis is a little uncomfortable for me due to the concept (not my computer). and also by the way, what is the “portcls the.sys” bus driver?

Ok … I looked at the residual error on the MS website and got to work to get this page. Your system system is pretty close (as far as I remember) to the following:

I could potentially use KK266
AMD 1.4 Ghz
1GB of associated pc133 memory (I think)
CDR and CD-ROM are SCSI without Adaptec 19160 SCSI card
Zip (IDE). floppy disks
2 IDE hard disks (C has an operating system and programs, D can be data), both maxtors
Windows 2000, SP2

I often plan to do the following:
1. Create Windows 2000 bootable disks
2. Get the SCIS driver on a floppy disk
3. Insert the first Win2k floppy disk and load it with all the drawings.
4. Over time, growth media and f6 will load the SCSI drivers.
5. Let’s move on to the rest of the Win2000 floppy disks.
6. It all comes down to the fact that all three options are offered, I prefer “Restore the latest installation of most Windows 2000” (other options could be “Install a new version of Windows 2000” or something else)
7. Sit down and wait until the current version of Win2k is successfully repaired
8. Pray.
9. It should be so.

goodWell … what should I do about it. I am not planning on using a Win2k bootable CD as I am not sure if it is a real bootable CD (with all the crappy scsi on the female system). and the MS on the net is talking about a “rescue disk” … but it was exactly “Fix Seed Windows 2000 Version” by win2k, right? This is what has prevented most of my mistakes for the most part.

So … what this means, I plan to do. I found that I might be missing some environments, some clues, but I was hoping more experienced people (you guys) could point out potential problems … a little wisdom. Thanks for the help … It worries me a little (not my computers or all of them). and by the way, what is the “portcls the.sys” driver?
