You can perform an import operation even if you have not created an export file. Note, however, that you mustto be the role IMP_FULL_DATABASE to import if the export file was created by a user with the EXP_FULL_DATABASE role. These two roles are usually assigned to database administrators (DBAs).http://stanford.edu/dept/itss/docs/oracle/10g/server.101/b10825/exp_imp.htmHiAsif Kabir

How Do I Fix The ORA-01455 Error In Oracle 11g Release 2 Database?

INTRODUCTION

Use I ran my Oracle 11g Release 2 benchmark on a virtual machine today to test schema export.
I exported a schema n 11.2 database with a 10g client. The export resulted in Ora-01455.

Export failed. Detailed error:

… Exporting referential integrity constraints
… Exporting triggers
EXP-00056: ORACLE error 1455 occurredORA-01455: convert column overflow to integer data type
EXP-00000: Export Failed
â € ¦ ..

I remember fixing this issue a month ago when an Oracle user posted it on the OTN forum. I will help him solve the problem.
After I fixed the problem, I thought it would be a good idea to post the solution here so that everyone can fix it in the future.

ERROR

. Exporting referential integrity constraints
… Exporting triggers
EXP-00056: ORACLE error 1455 occurredORA-01455: convert column overflow to integer data type
EXP-00000: Export Failed

This is an Oracle bug. The main reason is that the converted form of the specified expression is too large for the specified data type. (on site ora-code.com).

SOLUTION

I solved the problem in one of the following ways. Therefore, it cannot be guaranteed that such situations will be resolved.

Solution 1: Try Oracle 11g version 2 EXP client versus Oracle 11g version 2.
Solution 2: Use triggers = n to successfully export a schema created by an Oracle 10.2 client to Oracle 11g version 2.
