ComboFix is a handy on-demand spyware scanner. Once downloaded, simply open the ComboFix.exe file to start the whole process right away.
Here’s how it works: ComboFix first backs up the Windows Registry and then creates a System Restore Point. The analysis will then start automatically, and the results will be displayed in the prompt .
When the spyware scan completes, a log file is created in the C: ComboFix.txt folder and opens for reading. There you can see if spyware has been detected and removed, and which spyware has been detected but not removed (which can be manually removed or another removal tool can be used).
