Take a look at genkernel

# genkernel arise

With genkernel you can create a compressed kernel image that recognizes in the same way as a liveCD.

Yes, it should.
However, you should use the latest genkernel, which can only be viewed if you set the ACCEPT_KEYWORDS = “~ arch” parameter in your /etc/make.conf file

Genkernel also looks at / usr / src / linux, where Linux should be a symbolic link to your real kernel source.

Or you can specify a different location for the kernel source.

If you are booting from the Live CD, you will find the configuration used in / proc / config. However, you must be using liveCD 2.6.
To use this configuration, mount your Gentoo root partition in a

Code:
/ mnt / gentoo and copy it:
mount / dev / hda3 / mnt / gentoo
Copy / proc / config /mnt/gentoo/usr/src/linux/.config
(chroot as in the documentation)
cd / usr / src /
rm linux
ln -s Linux-2.6.0-any Linux
Linux CD
clear all
