If the internet only works in mcafee safe mode, this guide is here to help you.

This is a sad situation. I have McAfee since 2006 with dual PC licenses installed.

The family computer was recently infected with a website or Trojan that hijacked their IE Explorer website. According to the stepfather, this problem began after January 1. Since they are old and not good at computers, I decided to take a look and give them one of the McAfee licenses I have. I helped him uninstall AVG from his PC and after that I installed this license (McAfee Internet Security).

After this HUGE match problem on one of my personal computers, I also had a problem as the computer looked like it was trying to connect to the internet and shut down IE8.

I then decided to run a malware scan by following the instructions in the “PLEASE READ THE HOME MALWARE PROBLEM SOLUTION” section.

IN SAFE MODE on this personal computer, I ran the GET SET AND SUBMITTED FILE software on McAfee, where a suspicious file was found in the Documents and Settings THEUSERNAME CONFIG TEMP 4D.tmp folder.

After running McAfee Scan in Safe Mode on this home On my PC, I found McAfee protection disabled (RED HORIZONTAL BAR). Even though I decided to turn it back on, the message YOUR COMPUTER IS AT RISK appears on the screen appears and changes color from green to red.

Then I clicked on the button to activate the SCAN. Therefore, it was changed to GREEN. but suddenly was returned to RED status .

During the scan, I noticed that my Windows XP Professional with Service Pack 3 computer was trying to connect to specific IP addresses in Safe Mode. .

I noticed that at least these 3 IPs were blocked in the order shown in less than 5 minutes. 64.208.138.252, 208.73.210.29 and 68.67.159.206 .

I tried to turn it on again, with no success.

A few minutes later during this scan, a scan with a red status passed, and suddenly without the as symbol I click anywhere. Elsewhere, on my PC’s controls, I saw an “Internet Explorer Warning” in the middle of the screen:

“The last browsing session ended unexpectedly. Want to go back to your last session or go to your home page? ” At the bottom there were two buttons to choose from: “Return to Last Session” or “Go to Home Page.”

Although I did not perform any actions in the menu above, the pop-up disappeared Click the screen when choose one of these requirements. .

Currently my scan is 19% complete and I am writing this an email from another home computer that seems to have no malware on it yet.

A few minutes later, AGAIN suddenly without clicking anywhere else on the controls on my PC, an” Internet Explorer Warning “message is displayed with the message:” The last browsing session was closed unexpectedly. Want to go back to your last session or go to your home page? »Only at the bottom were two buttons to select – Return to the last session or Go to home page.

Can anyone help me explain what the problem is and how to fix it.

Thanks in advance.

PS: My stepfather’s computer problem has not been resolved. . Another time this week I’ll try to fix my family member’s computer.
