Best Way To Remove Safe Mode Restart Without Keyboard

In the past few weeks, some readers have reported restarting in Safe Mode without keyboard. Press Win R, type “msconfig” in the Run box and press Enter to reopen the System Configuration Tool. Go to the Boot tab and uncheck Safe Boot. Click OK and restart your computer when done.

Have you tried holding down the F8 key while booting?

You can download from the Windows 7 DVD and select “Recover”.

A page will open where you can select a restore point before modifying the registry.

Windows doesn’t “notice” that I pass F8 on startup (or Ctrl-F10, F5, or whatever).

Does your keyboard have an F-Lock key?

In this case, you might need to use it before F8 (or other F keys). Otherwise, the F keys have no effect.

If you are using a USB keyboard, you can try PS / 2 or vice versa.

(holds f8) I’ve tried.
(Recovery Mode) I tried it but it didn’t work. Again, there is no safe mode.

You can access the menu by turning on your computer and pressing the F8 key before Windows starts. Some options, such as Safe Mode, allow you to start Windows in a restricted state in which only basic functions run.
