Over the past few days, some of our readers have reported that Windows Update Internet Explorer 10 is not working.
Go to the “Advanced” tab and click “Reset”. Select the Delete personal settings check box and click Reset again. Click Apply / OK to close the Internet Properties dialog box. Now check if Internet Explorer opens. Otherwise, hold down the Windows key, press R again and type inetcpl.
If Internet Explorer fails to open when it freezes or opens briefly and then closes, the problem may be due to insufficient memory or corrupted system files. Try this:
Open Internet Explorer and select Tools> Internet Options.
Go to the “Advanced” tab and click “Reset”.
In the Reset Internet Explorer Settings dialog box, select Reset.
If Internet Explorer no longer applied the default settings, select Close> OK.
Restart your computer for the changes to take effect.
