X-Win32 is an application that provides X server functionality for the Microsoft Windows operating system. This allows applications running in the Unix / Linux environment to display graphical user interfaces on the Microsoft Windows desktop. This is required for recording For Unix or Linux web browser or xterminal commands, and for running some applications such as MatLab.
