“SQLCODE = -204, SQLSTATE = 42704” is most likely a DB2 error code indicating that the wi object does not exist “; In this case, it means that the select USER_TABLES object does not exist, or that the user does not have read access to your. USER_TABLES is an Oracle compatible function.

SQLERRMC. SQLERM. CHAR (70) Contains a superseding printout of the message associated with the SQLCODE. For CONNECT and SET CONNECTION, the SQLERRMC niche contains connection information. A description of the alternative text can be found in Table 4.

In many web documents, people display this message because of a symptom (with the following meaning SQLERRMC and different driver numbers):

      DB2 SQL Errors: SQLCODE = -204, SQLSTATE = 42704, SQLERRMC = M51Dev.CUSTOMER, DRIVER = 3.61.65

Error codes mean that the target – almost always a bed – will not be detected, and the SQLERRMC parameter usually contains the name of the offending object. In all other cases of this type that I can find, the solution was simply that they had to qualify to ensure that you pronounce the table name by the schema name. However, as you can see from the line above, this will not be the case here. The last schema is M51Dev and the table can be CLIENT and both exist.

Weather is a WebSphere application (7 Server.0.0.31 in this particular case, but I doubt it for some reason) running on Windows Server 2003 R2 with DB2 9.7.300.3885 on an older XP machine. The data source is defined in the JNDI and was retrieved through it. the application is actually written in Java, and our SQL uses JDBC, executed with Springs JdbcTemplate s.

The WAS data source definition includes a currentSchema custom property that is called and set to M51Dev .

    db2 error code 204

In context only: This is a new banking application that supports multiple database platforms. We have seen this over the years with various versions related to Oracle, MS SQL Server, and DB2 for System i; but we are new to using DB2 LUW. However, some of my colleagues usually have the above configuration, at least because they have WAS and DB2 on the same machine.

And I can open a SQL client on the host server that has the WAS and connect to the database in question with usually the same parameters and efficiently query it, including SET with SCHEMA M51Dev , and then don’t match the table names, which in my opinion most mimic the JDBC / JNDI environment.

Correction: Provide a valid common name in the unsafe column name. If a SQL statement tries to use INSERT, UPDATE, and SELECT on a column name that is literally not part of the table, this DB2 SQL error code will be generated. ORDER BY clause in the belly as the column name should not be part of the results office.
