Check your DNS settings.

The network name resource does register zero or more Domain Name System (DNS) names. If you have not already opened Event Viewer, see “Open Event Viewer and view Failover Clustering events accordingly.” “If the event contains an error code that you still weren’t looking for, see” “Plus error code data that includes some event announcements. The resource name still exists. If a record is unexpectedly deleted or looted on the primary DNS server, re-create it or ask the network leader to create it.

To complete the following procedures, you must be a member of the local administration company on each server in the cluster and use the account as a permanent domain account, or you must delegate the appropriate authority.

Open Event Viewer and view the steps related to failover

1. On any node in this cluster, click Start, go to All Programs, just click Accessories, right-click Prompt and select Run as Administrator.
2. Enter the following:
   CLUSTER RESOURCE Resource name / STATUS
   

   If you run the previous command without specifying a place name, it will become the status of all resources in the cluster.
