Sometimes your computer can generate an error code indicating ubuntu wicd dbus error. This problem can be caused by a number of reasons.
I am currently using wired broadband. By default, NetworkManager indicates that the vehicle is connected to an Ethernet network. I have been ineffective at navigating any website in a browser. I had to unplug and reconnect car Ethernet several times in NetworkManager or restart Ubuntu to fix this. But if these steps are tedious, this problem occurs very often.
I read online to let you know that WICD Network Manager Maintenance Tasks are aware of this issue. I used Ubuntu 12.04 earlier, which fixed the same issue by running WCID Network Manager.
I recently upgraded to 13.10, and since I have the same networking problem in the Implication NetworkManager, I installed WICD NetworkManager, but when I try to open that WCID, I get a warning that says:
Failed to connect to WICD D-Bus interface. Check wicd log for error messages.

When I click OK, I get the same message over and over, and when I click OK again, I get the following message:
Error while establishing connection with Wicd service via D-Bus. Make sure the wicd service is running fine.
Any help on this issue is appreciated because it has been annoying me since 10/13 creation
I haven’t created anything for a long time, I was quite lazy and busy at school with my magic. I recently messed up my Ubuntu installation and had to reinstall. I downloaded the latest version of Ubuntu, which at the time of creation was Ubuntu 13.10. Based on my current post, you will notice that I originally set 12 to 10, so keep in mind that this is definitely the point that was posted! Anyway, if you’ve heard this, you know that I don’t use Ubuntu’s network supervisor by default. For some reason, the internet and connections are slow and often fail. My solution is that I can do it with Nuke and replace this wicd. Unfortunately for some reason right after installing wicd it didn’t work and gave me this error:
Unable to always connect to D-Bus interface from wicd.
If you stumbled upon this page, you definitely need a solution straightoh now and also an explanation later, so don’t forget:

sudo mv -v /etc/resolv.conf /etc/resolv.conf.backup
sudo ln -s /run/resolvconf/resolv.conf /etc/resolv.conf

sudo rm -v /var/lib/wicd/resolv.conf.orig

I don’t like this solution, I found out about it here at linuxforums.org.uk. It also has instructions on how to undo what you just did in a situation that didn’t work. Interestingly, I didn’t find such a reaction on Google, instead I tried another good search engine called Duck Duck Go. Since this search result might be at the top, I found it like this, and I was even impressively surprised that in this case, it just beat Google because it found what I was looking for.
I’m especially sorry that I have to do all of this to get Ubuntu to use the method I want. Standard account managers on Windows and Mac OS work fine. As secure and stable as Linux is, I would not recommend it to anyone as a programmer as an alternative to a server. As an everyday operating system, even Ubuntu has to go through It’s a long way to go before it can replace Windows. However, I need to try Linux Mint, I heard that this is another Linux distribution that should be more and more user-friendly.
Anyway, I hope this fixes the actual D-Bus bugs. I can’t guarantee that these products will work for you, because to be honest, I really don’t know what they do – I still have a lot to learn about Linux.
