The update was supposed to improve the Blackberry’s performance, but after some research, technical users reported that it usually contains software capable of tracking users’ activities.
On Tuesday, Blackberry manufacturer In Research Motion confirmed this diagnosis and also offered a new firmware update forRemove spyware.
“Independent reasons have determined that Etisalat is because the update is not intended to improve the performance of your BlackBerry Pocket PC instead of forwarding received messages to a central server,” RIM said in a notice posted on its website.
