This is one of the most frustrating error messages you will ever encounter. Sometimes it’s easy to get started, sometimes it’s absolute agony. While recently revisiting this unique topic, I decided to post my own thoughts in the hope that it will help someone else.

- 4. Run the manufacturer’s scan utility that you downloaded from their company’s website (it usually finds errors).

- 6. Replacing that data cable might fix this, but it usually doesn’t.
- 7. Setting the BIOS to use the default settings may fix this permanently, but not.
- 8. Changing BIOS Boost settings from automatic to custom, To make sure LBA is selected can cause problems that you can.
- 9. Remove the CMOS battery to make the BIOS lose its settings.
