Fdisk says / dev / hda5 Linux is swap, just like / dev / hda6 Linux Fedora. QtParted predicts / dev / hda5 is Fedora and hda6 is traded. The sheet music for exchange is a solid gig, and Fedora sheet music is definitely around 7.5 gigs. they call a little moving score – but there are other things on the labels. ALSO when I run QTParted from the console terminal and useI use “/ dev / hda”, I get the following message

grub rescue error in fedora 17

Error: The file system was not unmounted correctly! You should have e2fsck. Modifying a dirty filesystem can potentially cause serious damage.

I’ll tackle this part first to understand how to set up Grub.

I just launched the GParted Live tool (which I used to create the partition). I still have over 30 unallocated performances to get this. I think I can copy that particular partition, then delete the spare and Fedora partition and do it again. Then copy the copy from Fedora to hda6.

Using the Rescue option on the inserted disc, I noticed that the FC4 thought it was on the HDA6 before. So, I fixed Ubuntu grub to run FC4. After the first boot failure, I keep looking in FC4. NOW – Rescue Believes FC4 was in HDA5 !!! can’t chroot / mnt / sysimage are capable of anything, see returned to ubuntu for further investigation. Until, unfortunately, I turned off the computer when I arrived at the base.

grub rescue error in fedora 17

This BIN, ifand I restarted GRUB, errors – 17 I can’t do anything but log into Knoppix live or start.

I ran fdisk and QTParted. My dividing table is completely crazy. Win2k is very similar to hda1, what used to be hda3 (ubuntu) is now hda2 which must be secondhand (share hda2) (fat32 must be hda4, etc. Cannot be partitioned, it is for FC4 lookups – found that fdisk offers a fixed partition table. I tried what the experts say – no noticeable effect. Finally, grub in Ubuntu supports increasing menu.lst, removing modified FC4 links, Ubuntu kernel searches for hd0, hda2 selection for hda3, all the various Ubuntu comments with comments and Win2k left more things alone – there was still a grub bug.Ran Gparted Live fixed at least three utilities on the respective desktop, removed hda5 (FC4), and recreated the gorgeous 7GB partition to find something- then to fix the problem. found when Fedora crashed. during installation i’m not sure if i can try again, can i do something to fix it like prevent FC4 from crashing when copying files? installed), never not youflies twice to the above location? I am using the ISO images in a directory on HDA4 for installation. I checked them in all ways available to me using SHA1SUM mediacheck and simply. Where can I get more tips on Getting Started? This looks like an awesome setup script that you tweaked for some of the options and filled in the key blanks.

I fixed it – including – in a bad way – on the other hand it fixed it. I reinstalled Ubuntu – where Grub came from – so overwrite it before installing Grub.
