In this user guide, we will learn about some of the possible causes that can cause the SQL dump error on Windows XP, and then we give possible solutions that you can try to fix the problem.
Generating minidumps in SQL Server is abnormal behavior. It’s like a clear signal of stress in SQL. If something “unexpected” might happen, SQL Server drops the SPID and creates a recycle. In SQL, there are situations where publications do not produce results (“Non-executable Scheduler”, “Non-Executable IOCP Listener” or “Non-Executable Resource Monitor”) and the data is needed to diagnose the problem later, and therefore it gets dumped. These are dumps to the folder where the ERROLROG files are run. They can also be called manually using SQLDumper.exe for SQLDump.

What Should Customers Do?
First you need to find the reason for the dump in the ERRORLOG file. Check the SQL ERORRLOG for an indication that something is wrong, with a time stamp in the actual error log around the same time the depot file was created. You will find that each SQL dump file has three types of links.Types specified with the file.
The first two files can be opened to create a notepad (or any other text editor). There are a few ideas here.
- The TXT file has the following previews.
This file is generated by Microsoft SQL Server
when the terminal encounters an unexpected error. Submit this particular file,
request, or tutorial that generated the error checking, catalog and log, and any new pertinent information along with the service request.

- The “LOG” file is the section of the ERRORLOG file at the time the dump was generated. This will help someone take a closer look at the part of the error log where the actual dump was generated.
- An extensible file with “MDMP” (called a minidump file) takes up very little space in the SQL process when the problem occurs. As a user of the SQL Server exit program, you need to consult LOG and TXT Lodge to understand the cause of the failure. You should examine the complete dump scheme by targeting the timing and opening the TXT and LOG files for everyone involved. If you see something similar below, it is due to data corruption in the database.

You should probably run CHECKDB dbcc. If the output of the CHECKDB dbcc command shows damage to your indexes, rebuild them. If the problem indicates that “repair_allow_data_loss” is the minimum, thenRequired to restore the database;
If it generally looks like the following, make sure you have applied the latest set of Help and Cumulative Update related to SQL Server.
- Incompatible Scheduler
- Incompatible IOCP Listener
- Incompatible Resource Monitor
- Exception Code = c0000005 EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION

If you’ve taken care of recovery and CHECKDB is clean, but you even have dump files, then my advice would be to contact Microsoft SQL support. A dilemma with a SQL Server product can arise, and Microsoft can work as a team to address it.
If you are lazy and don’t want to help yourself, keep working with files. They will work again, and you will have to periodically send the batch file for deletion. If your good log file contained several dumps several years ago, and in this case there were no dumps for several months, and maybe only a few of the most recent dumps, you have the option to safely delete the old ones dumps.
